Greg Vincent and Peter Long first performed together in Adelaide band Primitive Painters in the mid-1980s and later collaborated in the indie outfit Puppethead in Adelaide and Sydney. As a predominantly guitar-based duo, Ashram Poets was the duo's foray into electro-pop and ultimately their final project, with Greg passing away in 2021. The Corpios album celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2021.
